Maritime Madness

Maritime Madness is a Canadian hot sauce brand known for its bold flavors, creative recipes, and unmistakable East Coast personality. Based in Prince Edward Island, the company was founded by entrepreneurs Glen and Johanne Warner, who set out to create small-batch sauces that captured the adventurous spirit of Atlantic Canada.

The idea for Maritime Madness began with a simple love of hot sauce and a desire to experiment in the kitchen. Glen started developing his own recipes at home, blending fresh peppers with unique ingredients to create sauces that were both flavorful and approachable. Instead of focusing only on extreme heat, the goal was to build complex flavor profiles that people would actually want to cook with every day.

What began as a small hobby quickly gained attention at local markets and food events. Customers loved the originality of the sauces and the playful branding that reflected the character of the Maritimes. Encouraged by the response, Glen and Johanne turned the project into a full business, launching Maritime Madness and expanding their lineup of handcrafted sauces.

From the start, the company focused on small-batch production and high-quality ingredients. Many of their sauces highlight regional influences, combining peppers with ingredients like fruit, maple syrup, and other creative flavor pairings. The result is a lineup that ranges from mild and flavorful to seriously hot, giving heat lovers plenty of options to explore.

As the brand grew, Maritime Madness earned national recognition for its innovation and quality. The company has won numerous awards at international hot sauce competitions, helping establish it as one of Canada’s most respected craft hot sauce producers.

Today, Maritime Madness offers a wide range of hot sauces, spicy condiments, mustards, and seasonings enjoyed by heat seekers across North America. Despite its growth, the brand remains proudly rooted in Prince Edward Island, where every product reflects the creativity, humor, and bold flavor that inspired the company from the beginning.
